The Toy Box

EFH Co. includes manufacturing/industrial, medical/office and retail/restaurants/entertainment among its building projects, and now it can add “supreme man cave” to the list, after helping the owner of an extensive sports car collection turn a former warehouse into a playhouse for grown-ups they now call the “Toy Box.” 

EFH Co. acted as design/builder on this project for the owner, which involved the renovation of an existing warehouse and the construction of a pre-engineered addition. Work began with the demolition of the existing exterior while keeping the existing wind bracing in place and the re-engineering of the warehouse to meet new design requirements for snow loads. Crews also incorporated EV chargers into the power system, installed state of the art security, updated all exhaust and air handling equipment to meet new codes, and extensively outfitted the new building with "man cave" furnishings.

Work also included the creation of a “snacketeria,” a space for gathering/entertaining that features industrial-style cabinetry, multiple refrigeration units, an outdoor grilling area and culinary equipment for “state fair”-type foods like mini-donuts, popcorn, corn-dogs and the like.

Work on this project began July 1, 2020 and was completed by October 30, 2020.

This project was just the latest chapter in an ongoing relationship between EFH Co. and the owner. EFH acted as real estate broker and design/builder on an office / manufacturing / warehouse building in 2005, and EFH Realty has managed their real estate affairs since 2018.
