For over 10 years, EFH Co. has partnered with Lakes Dermatology to support their evolving practice. Following a successful buildout in Burnsville, we collaborated once again to transform a standard office footprint into a premier 10,000-square-foot medical clinic and cosmetic procedure suite in Minnetonka. This project represents more than just a new location; it is a testament to a long-term relationship built on thoughtful planning and design-build excellence.

High-End Medical Refinement

Converting a traditional office into a specialized medical environment requires a focus on both aesthetics and infrastructure. To ensure a cohesive design that met the client’s high standards for patient care, we implemented:

• Upgraded Finishes: Custom solid surface reception counters and premium materials throughout the suite.
• Modern Efficiency: Full LED lighting upgrades and a programmable building management system (BMS) for optimal climate control.
• Patient-Forward Design: An optimized layout for clinical efficiency and a relaxing cosmetic experience.

Overcoming Complex Logistics

Construction on a 5th-floor unit presents unique challenges, particularly when the building's elevator cabs are simultaneously being replaced. To keep the project on schedule without disrupting other tenants required extensive coordination with third parties. This included off-hour work, frequent meetings, and constant communication.

A Proven Collaborative Success

The project was made possible by a team of dedicated partners with a history of excellence. Working alongside Wilkus Architects, Cal-Tex Electric, Northern Mechanical Contractors, and Wenzel Heating and Air Conditioning, we delivered a space that not only met the client's vision but significantly increased the overall value of the building.
