American Red Cross Blood Testing Facility

Challenge
The American Red Cross is one of the nation's top emergency response and disaster relief organizations. As the organization restructured in order to meet changing federal regulations, they needed to build a new blood testing facility within a tight time line.

Solution
EFH Co. provided turnkey land acquisition and design/build services for the American Red Cross. The project consisted of a state-of-the-art blood testing laboratory with backup services. The client's finished building, which the American Red Cross purchased, was approximately 30,000 square feet of finished office, laboratory and backup services space. Thanks to EFH, the American Red Cross was able to streamline blood testing services, handling everything from one location in the Upper Midwest.

Time frame: Site selection to occupancy within 210 days.
